I REALLY miss that hour

I started cutting out the bag and that lead to sew the pieces together which ended up with me being buried in the lower level for about two hours. I got all the pieces quilted and was starting to put that together when the sewing machine decided it missed the hour of lost sleep too and we got into a fight with two of my fingers bloody. Aside from blurry eyes and needle nicks on my fingers all is well. Well, that, and I had to rip out the bottom of the bag because I sewed the wrong and right side together. Again loss of an hour. Good thing I went to bed early.

They Came! We Created! It's over!

We painted cupcakes, we made journals, we decorated and frosted cupcakes all in two hours. There was a game or two of Find and Seek with the ceramic cupcake thrown in there also. Whew.

Yesterdays Lesson

When I told them to pose Apache put his head down and nickered at me. Such a showman. The weather was beautiful and they went out on a trail ride while Queen 2 played with the cute furry guy below. We brought in Madison's old pasture mate and gave her a good brushing and loving. You can tell she has been outside and not worked. She was very alert and curious about the indoor arena. All great fun.

Holy Smokes I have a party to plan

It is a house that we are going to turn into a cupcake.

Journal that I'm going to stitch the girls names on if I can get my fingers to work again. Lots of band aids I think. Then they are going to tie the fabric strips down the side of the journal. ( idea from NY sister) Look at that little white satin box. This was my deal -I mean STEAL from JOann's. We are going to decorate the top of it. Party is tomorrow so pics will be posted tomorrow evening. Wish me luck.

It is Done!!!

Wahoo it is done. My fingers will never be the same after handsewing that binding, but I love it!

A little extra love

Quilting all day yesterday. It made the sound of the construction next door go away.
