San Francisco

You know when you go into a city and it has that certain charm?
You see little bits of art and inspiration everywhere you look
                                          Colors and shapes grab you.
                                                 Maybe its the history
                                             Maybe its the landmarks
Maybe its the people of all kinds
This wasn't my first time here like it was for my kids
And I hope its not the last.

Christmas in Northern California

                                                                   Pacific Grove
                                  Christmas Eve Dinner
                                   Gadgets for everyone
                               Whale watching
                                 Good walks
                                  Some play
                              and the beautiful ocean.

New room

And because inspiration strikes at the weirdest times, I painted Avery's room a color called "salty tear". It is a lovely shade of blue and makes the whole room look great.

And we're off......

But before we go. I thought you would like to see what we've been up to.

 Peppermint Cookies- yummo!!!
Project Momma Cat and Kitten- both ferel and both scared of humans. Big time! I'm working my way from 10 yards to 5 yards without them bolting.
A visit from Big sister Dani who is now not the tallest girl in the house. We loved having her stay with us.
God sends me this cat from next door so I relax. He demands to be let in and I snuggle him and just breathe:)
And just because he is the little man of the house. Our little lion.
Merry Christmas and I will see you the coming New Year.

What's new

This is Mama. Mom of Fluffin. Wild kitty who last year would run whenever she saw a human. I am slowly wearing her down. I wish it would go faster though. She has one black kitten and I think she is ready to have another litter in a few weeks. She is a beauty. Her eyes look like they are lined in black. Orange on the cheeks like blush. Such a pretty girl. She really likes cream.
This was a close as I could get. She has been letting me sit and talk to her though. If I call her like shes mine she runs away- stinker.
And just because I needed some sewing therepy I started Old Red Barn Quilt Along round 8.

What's new with you?

Happy Thanksgiving to you all

Just a quick note to say Happy Thanksgiving to you all. We have so much to be thankful for. My goal this year is to make sure that the people in my life know how much I appreciate them. Thank you Lord for all you have given me and my family. Now don't eat too much turkey:)

So I have just finished all the November Bee Blocks and what a relief. There is still one out there that hasn't sent fabric so we will see if she is going to do her month or not. above is my last 3x6 block for tingtongandthings.
 For Peonybliss
 For the Mighty Crumble
 For Sewtobed
And finally some Chocolate Lollipop for me- $3.00 a yard at Whittles Fabric. But keep that between you and me.

It's been a while

It's been a while since my last post. We've entered the holiday stage and things can run away from you if you let them. So I thought we could use a walk to clear our minds and help our spirits. I walk to the end of the driveway and look down the road and this is what I see.
Cross the street and start our journey down the tree lined path
I'm glad I got the pictures before all the leaves had fallen
The colors are amazing and past their peak.
There are reds, golds, burgundys, greens, and oranges
This was one of my favorites
Halfway point of a 2 mile walk
I hope you get moments to just breathe and remember what its all about. Love to you all.
