Puppy training

This little girl and I are going to start her training- formally. I've signed her up for classes beginning June 9th. This is us looking at the moon. It was full and calling to us. She sure likes to give kisses. She nibbles on my husbands nose and he likes it.

I suck at blogging

I used to be much better at this blogging business. I remember crafting and picture taking and quilt making and blogging. Well we have begun our summer break and I hope to get back to all of it

Baby girl went to the 8th grade dance and looked so grown up all done up. Holy smokes!!!!

This is my sweet pea Sierra. She was in the ISP class at the school I work at and every morning would say good morning to me. She graduated and is going to high school now. I told her parents I was going to cry when she graduated and by golly I sure did. Her dad walked her up to get her certificate and the whole 8th grade class stood and started clapping and then the whole crowd stood up and clapped for her. It was so amazing and the feeling of that place at that time was goosebump wonderful.

This is the young man that Riley has a crush on and I have to say she has good taste. We love him.

Little girl walking up to get her certificate for middle school promotion. Can't believe I'm going to have two in high school. And below is a little something I am working on inspired by a picture my sister sent me and to keep me crafty while my sewing machine is getting serviced.

Nana on the hunt

Look at this pretty girl. She is such a love.

She says,"oh look. my tail. sometimes I chase that"

There was something scurrying around under the deck. She wanted it bad.

Show Fest ABQ 2014

Today the choirs in the area came to the fairgrounds to compete in Showfest. The 5th Ave girls group of LaCueva went 2nd out of six groups

 The was some excellent dancing

 Some beautiful singing

There group and the mixed group from La Cueva got first. Very proud of all of you. You put on a good show. (sorry for the last picture. I tried to fix it and had no success)

A weeks wind down

This week has been a wild one. There is no better way to wind down than dinner with the husband and than a walk with the dog. Doug and I went to Paul's Monterey Steakhouse. It was like stepping back in time. The food was good- the company even better. I got to hear how my hubby got his hole in one yesterday. The very first for him. The story was no the first time. Since he got home he would say "hey, did I tell you I got a hole in one today?"

People have been rocking the no makeup pictures on facebook so here is mine

My pretty girl and I walked four miles after dinner

And admired the flowers and the setting sun

what do you do to wind down?

Spring has Sprung

I spent most of this weekend working in the yard and sleeping.

I also took the teens clothes shopping and we watched Catching Fire and 12 years a Slave.

I did however take a moment to thank God for the beauty of spring and how the blue in the sky was a perfect backdrop for the aspen trees and the white cherry blooms.
