This is Mama. Mom of Fluffin. Wild kitty who last year would run whenever she saw a human. I am slowly wearing her down. I wish it would go faster though. She has one black kitten and I think she is ready to have another litter in a few weeks. She is a beauty. Her eyes look like they are lined in black. Orange on the cheeks like blush. Such a pretty girl. She really likes cream.
This was a close as I could get. She has been letting me sit and talk to her though. If I call her like shes mine she runs away- stinker.
And just because I needed some sewing therepy I started Old Red Barn Quilt Along round 8.
What's new with you?

Happy Thanksgiving to you all
Just a quick note to say Happy Thanksgiving to you all. We have so much to be thankful for. My goal this year is to make sure that the people in my life know how much I appreciate them. Thank you Lord for all you have given me and my family. Now don't eat too much turkey:)

So I have just finished all the November Bee Blocks and what a relief. There is still one out there that hasn't sent fabric so we will see if she is going to do her month or not. above is my last 3x6 block for tingtongandthings.
For Peonybliss
For the Mighty Crumble
For Sewtobed
And finally some Chocolate Lollipop for me- $3.00 a yard at Whittles Fabric. But keep that between you and me.

It's been a while
It's been a while since my last post. We've entered the holiday stage and things can run away from you if you let them. So I thought we could use a walk to clear our minds and help our spirits. I walk to the end of the driveway and look down the road and this is what I see.
Cross the street and start our journey down the tree lined path
I'm glad I got the pictures before all the leaves had fallen
The colors are amazing and past their peak.
There are reds, golds, burgundys, greens, and oranges
This was one of my favorites
Halfway point of a 2 mile walk
I hope you get moments to just breathe and remember what its all about. Love to you all.

more of the trip
Sorry for those of you who are expecting a few crafty posts, but family is asking for some more pictures. I'll get something crafty up soon.
Sam's living quarters for 9 1/2 weeks. His mom was amazed at his made bed.
I love it. They even have to sit at attention.
Grandma Joan, Sam and his mom Carla
And finally seeing his half sisters in the first time in a few years.

We're Back
Did you even know I was gone? We went to Dallas/ Fort Worth and spent a rainy day at the Stockyards. We watched the cattledrive and then ate a great steak dinner.
He made it through and we are very proud of him. Next stop is AIT at Ft Sam Houston- combat medic.
Man do they ever look alike. Soulmate is such a proud papa.
We got to meet Sweet Miss Katie for the first time and I hope we get to keep in touch. She's a keeper.
I also now have a very healthy respect for the Drill Sergants that get our solders to the point where they need to be. Thank you.
Then we drove up to Ft. Sill/Lawton Oklahoma to see Private Sam Wayne graduate from 9 1/2 weeks of intense boot camp training. I have never been exposed to any kind of ARMY anything, so to learn the terms and language and values was very enlightening.

Big Bird and Vampira
Dressed and ready to go
Smiles on their faces and practiced "trick or treats"
A hunger for candy or sisters
Ready to answer the door and give out treats
Pumpkin is not ours, he just thinks he is
And at the end of the night they counted their loot and made trades
