Balloons, Borders and Giveaway




Balloons in the sky. They start at 6:30 am and fill up the skyline

My quilt so far. I'm adding borders to it and loving the look.

  1. My favorite thing to do in the fall is go to football games and tailgate parties. This coming Saturday will make 3 Saturdays in a row for that. I also do a lot of sewing in the fall because that's when I get into rush mode to finish a bunch of gifts for Christmas. But this year we're doing some remodeling so that's cutting into my sewing time. Yikes! Better get busy!

  7. My favorite fall thing is to enjoy the cooling temps and beautiful autumn colors. How fun to be seeing all those balloons during the Fiesta. We have attended twice and hope to again the next year or so. Have fun with your parents and thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!

  11. Fall - great time to bring on the soups & stews! I'm making vegie/beef soup for supper. Yum! Great to have a pot of a different soup in the fridge for quick meals throughout winter.

  16. My favorite thing to do for Fall is put on a sweater, open the windows and enjoy some Hot cocoa. Now, that it's the 5th of October in Las Vegas that is finally an option! With these cute fat quarters...I will make a festive fall table runner and maybe some placemats. These are so cute! Oh...pick me! :)

  25. Hi, new follower here. Believe it or not, raking the leaves is one of my favorite things. I love the smell. I was blessed to go to the balloon festival in Albuquerque years ago when I was going to school at New Mexico Highlands University - a long way from Minnesota!

  26. My favorite fall activity is taking a walk on the Ridge where I live to take in the splendid beauty of the foliage of the sugar maples. Heading out the door soon to do just that.

  28. I love to bake, anything with cinnamon and cloves. I love the smell of cloves. It's also the time of year I think about pulling out my knitting needles.

  30. After a long, hot, humid summer my favorite thing to do in the fall is enjoy getting outside in the cooler weather with my grandchildren! Today we came across a huge praying mantis. We took wonderful pictures of him sitting on the leaves in a tree. Such great fun! Love the fabric especially the owls - my grandsons favorite!

  36. Lovely fabrics! At this time of year, we love to decorate outside on our patio for Halloween. We string orange lights for the length of the patio roof, decorate the windows with witches, and have homemade ghosts hanging from the 2 front bushes!

  40. My favorite thing to do in fall is take our vacation! We always try and go someplace in October once the fall leaves are pretty, and the summer crowds are back in school. This year it's Michigan leaving from VA.

  47. My favorite thing to do in the fall is be outside and enjoy the cooler weather and beautiful leaves. My favorite thing to make? With Christmas right around the corner, I always kick into high gear with decorations and gifts - but this year I'm especially into making fall decorations :) A fall table runner is at the top of my list this year.

  49. My favorite fall to do thing is raking leaves. I love being out in the crisp fall air raking. Of course it helps if some little ones come by & jump in the leaf pile! Those FQ's are very fallish - thanks for the chance to win them.

  51. I love making homemade chunky applesauce when the temperatures outside first gets cooler. I can just open the back kitchen doors, let the cool air in...perfection. I freeze a container of it and serve it at Thanksgiving or Christmas or some snowy gray day in February and remember the day it was first prepared with the cool crispness in the air.
