Getting it done.

First of all this weekend was our 17 year Anniversary. Yeah us!!!! We had a great weekend with a date for just the two of us, horse show, wedding show, great Itailian dinner. Super nice. 17 years is nothing to squeeze at. Good thing I love him huh?

Next, I got to sew this weekend. Yippee! The machine was calling to me like an old friend you haven't had a good chit chat with for a while. We got along just great. I quilted and bond the 100's of Squares Quilt. It is 53x64 in size. I am working on a baby quilt today and have zipped right along. Hopefully pictures soon. So nice to reconnect.

And finally, My fabric pull for the Old Red Barn Quilt Along. We are going to learn how to make Dresden plates. So excited to learn this. It has scared the "you know what" out of me, but with this group I am eager to learn. Love my ORBQA ladies- ( and men). Come join us.

  1. Congratulations on your anniversary! I love your 100s of squares quilt - it's so pretty. I went to ORBC and looked up the first QAL, and it was so great, especially her attitude & enthusiasm. I have a tendency to stress and want everything all planned out and "just so" and am trying to move into a more relaxed (and relaxing) way of quilting. I also checked out the flikr group and the Dresden QAL, and I'm not sure I'm experienced enough yet to pull it off, but have bookmarked it for down the road. I think the fabrics you pulled will be great for the holidays, and can't wait to see your dresdens.
