Handmade Christmas

Teacher gifts this year are handmade scarves with 3D paper snowflakes. The school nurse taught me how to make the snowflakes and you can goggle the many tutorials on making these. Very easy with a pretty result.

Both girls asked if we were going to do Christmas cards this year and I really hadn't had time to think about that. At first I thought that I probably wouldn't send them out. Then one day earlier this week I was like " I can do this" I got cards half off and when the girls came home I plopped them in front of the Christmas tree and made them smile. They are teens and preteens so it took a good 50 takes. But I got one. Ran over to Walgreens and printed off prints in black and white and the next day sent them off. Yippee!!!

Now off for some cookie baking.

  2. We made paper snowflakes this year to hang with the Christmas lights in our bay windows, the sparkle and shine with just a touch of glitter on them.

I can't believe how big the girls are! What happened to the little girls I used to teach riding lessons to? They've turned into gorgeous young women :)
