Last post of the day

Four- I think that is a record for me. Lastly I'd like to share the April round of Around the Bend and Across the Pond Swap. I am doing the free form group and this is Laneys piece. I added the scrappy rectangles and strip of red on the right hand side. Now it is ready to send it to Krista who gets it next. This is going to be a bright happy quilt.

Happy Trails Quilt

YOu know how when someone needs a hug and you are not there to give a hug? What's the next best thing? A Quilt of course! So I was on a mission to get a quilt made with the help of two little fur balls. One to smooth things out and the other was on the couch overseeing. See? Helpful.

This is the front. The center of each block is an old cowboy print and the lighter tan fabric had a barb wire print running through it. It's a manly quilt and really big. Perfect for a cowboy/ mountain man kind of guy.

The back- I tried to use up all the little pieces from the front that were left over. It's a little like putting together a puzzle.

And I stitched the name of the fabric line was Happy Trails and perfect for the journey my Dad is taking. Of course with much love-Dena. He got it today :-)

Easter - Time is flying by

This working thing has really bit into my blog time, house cleaning time and friend chit chat time. Don't get me wrong. I love my job. I prayed for this job and really feel like God gave me this job so I am thankful.

I completely stole this super cute idea of mason jars instead of baskets from my sister. I thought it was so stinkin' cute I had to do it for the queens. The bag was for Soulmate who also got something from the Easter Bunny. Nice Easter Bunny huh?

The girls colored eggs together and it was so nice and sweet and peaceful. They got along. It was wonderful. We have to do more stuff like this. No little machines or attitude. It was wonderful.

The girls and I hid over 1500 plastice eggs for two different egg hunts on Easter and while I missed church it was so nice to be together as a family all working together. I hope you all had a great Easter too.
