Making Tracks

A while ago I joined a group on Flickr called Around the Bend and Across the Pond. This is a quilting group where you take one starter piece and it travels to six other people to add to it in whatever manner they want all the while you are getting pieces to add to. At the end of the period you have a quilt top or something rather close. Above is Thea's piece. Her theme is Garden Path. The gal before me added these awesome paper pieced birds and that inspired some stitched bird tracks from me. I'm still thinking about added more, but will marinate on that some more.
I did my first ever two hour spin class yesterday and I did not throw up or faint I am pleased to report. I did however take a two hour nap afterward that made going to sleep last night a little tough. Went to church Saturday night also. We are reading Daniel. So good. A great testament of faith in all kinds of situations. The message I took from it was " The way you live your life is impressive" Be the light in a world of darkness. Something to think about. Happy Monday to you all.

  1. I love your quilting stuff.. it's amazing how different each one you make is!

We had a similar message in church yesterday, about being the light in a world of darkness. Praying for and practicing the gift of encouragement. You never know whose day you'll lift up with a couple of encouraging words!
