Giveaway

You thought I forgot about you huh? I promised a giveaway 10 or so posts ago because, well, why not. Maybe it's celebration of new move, school beginning so I have sewing time again, or maybe because I have over 500 posts on this little humble blog.

Up for grabs is one yard each of these two prints of Joel Dewberry's Deer Valley.

Leave me a comment telling me whatever you would like ( how you would use the fabric, what you are doing for the rest of your summer, last movie you saw or book you read, your favorite dinner to cook. etc)
Second chance to win- become a follower or if you already follow leave me two comments telling me so( you get an extra chance)
Third chance- blog about this giveaway and leave me a comment with your blog. I love reading new blogs.

I promise to temper the overwhelming need to take a picture of every beautiful sunset. Winner revealed August 24th. My parents anniversary. High school sweethearts and still sweet:)

  1. I am planning on making a red and white quilt and this would be an amazing addition to my fabrics! Thanks!

  2. I've been coveting Joel Dewberry fabric for a while so this is a super giveaway! I kind of deflate when it's hot out so I've been slowly plugging away on a kaleidoscope quilt and reading the Harry Potter series on my porch. Yes, everybody read that years ago but I just discovered it in my son's room. Can't put it down!

  3. This is exactly the colorway I plan to makeover my camper caravan with, so these Dewberry darlings would be used for curtains in the little windows (and any leftovers would be used for a table runner).
Your sunset photos are lovely - never stop taking them! I was a sunset photo addict at my last apartment where I had a perfect view of the bridge.

  13. This would be a wonderful addition to the stash I'm starting (even though I've quilted for a while, I still don't have much of a stash). I'd combine it with some other fabrics and make either a tote/bag or a quilt.

  39. Your giveaway fabrics are in my two favorite colors--really, they are :). A quilt idea for specific fabrics usually comes to me after I've had the fabric for awhile, so not sure what I'd use the prints for right now.

  53. Your sunset pix are beautiful! I would use the two yards of JD Deer Valley in the 4 Generations Quilt I am designing. The quilt will combine blocks from my Great Aunt, age 86, my mother, age 73, myself, age 47 and my niece, age 32. I'm hoping to make a family heirloom to be passed down through the generations.

Tonight I made grilled chicken Cesar salad for supper. It's too hot and humid to do much cooking up this way. lg

  59. The last movie I saw was this past Sunday, titled "Evening", starring Glynn Close, Meryl Streep, Vanessa Redgrave, and others. It was a moving story about a woman at the end of her life, her 2 daughters, and memories of the love of her life (whom she didn't marry). It was very well done, and I will watch it again soon.
