Giveaway Day!!!!!
For Giveaway Day I am giving the "Fat Quarter Fun" book by Karen Snyder filled with awesome easy projects and five fat quarters from Henry Glass to get you started. To enter- simple- just leave me a comment- can be anything- tell me what you are working on or your favorite color just something about you. Drawing will be Wednesday evening 9pm east coast time. What a nice giveaway Dena! Lots going on as usual: working on my hexagons for ORBC, baby quilt coming up soon for a family member, still have those nightgowns to make into quilts, and have a super-duper queen size top to quilt (working up the nerve for that one, my biggest yet)!

thanks for the give away! I'm currently working on entirely too many projects, but I love them all. Mainly I make quilts, but I also make dish cloths, burp cloths and baby blankets. And that's just what I've had time to do...there are so many others that I would like to try!

I started quilting 21 months ago and I think I've made almost 2 quilts per month on average - my teachers say they've created a monster, what do you think? (I think I'm just making up for lost time, I could have been quilting for 20+ years - what was I thinking???) Haha :)

Something about me? I am a homeschool mom who teaches some co-op classes. I love this time of year, for although we study all summer, I don't have any classes to prepare. This is when I get to quilt play! My dining room gets covered in projects and we are forced to eat elsewhere.

I get summoned for jury duty. WHAT? What about ME time. What about DOWN time. I am working hard on my attitude to be a responsible citizen in a free country where, realistically, we have it REAL GOOD!

When I go fabric shopping, I always look at the fabric, when I see one I like I check to see who makes it. 8 out of ten times it is Henry Glass. And I love the colors of those prints.

Cute vintage fabrics! I'm trying to decide what I'm going to make next - I'm looking at equilaterial triangles but am on the hunt for the right inspriation fabric!

ReplyDeleteI'm more of a short project girl - like to start and finish within an hour or so or I'll never get back to it! Most recently, I made a pleated curtain for my kitchen window - first time doing pinch pleats - can't say I loved the experience, but they look great!
