All about PINWHEELS

It began simply enough- me lusting over a quilt that Dana from Old Red barn Quilt Along had made out of Moda 1974 fabric. Then came the request- followed by many others feeling the same way- that we must have one of our own and could this be the next quilt in the quilt along. So the prep began....cutting 5 inch squares to get a 8.5 inch pinwheel.
This is what I have so far with about another 1/2 to go. I am using a mix of prints from Timeless Treasure to Sweet Pea to some Moda. So far all prints with no solid, but as always with this group, I have found many others that I like (brights with whites) that I want to do next.

My March blocks are complete. These are for Modern Quilting Bee. One is 12.5 inches and the other 11.5 inches.

And Finally- my last Hoop Up project was recieved and I can post it. It took almost a month to get to the U.K. I was sweating it.
What are you up to?

  1. Great pinwheels, wonderful blocks and that stitchery is die for! A month? That's crazy. I just send a sewing caddy to Scotland and it took 9 or 10 days.

I hope you're happy, I went and bought a new hoop and plan to start stitching again. What do you use to stitch ON? Is that linen? Like the kind in the cross stitch dept at Hobby Lobby or what, Dena? Advise me, be my guru! :) And I downloaded some patterns from Sublime Stitching.... are you familiar with her stuff? I got 3 patterns! Yeeps, I need to like doing this again!
